Download genome sequences and metadata

Overview

Uploaded samples within the CZ GEN EPI platform can be downloaded at any point. Even before running any analyses on your data, it might be useful to download data from your Sample page. You can easily subset samples by filtering data and, thus, you can download specific sets of samples. For example, you might be interested in downloading samples representing a given lineage. Below are steps for downloading consensus genome data and/or sample metadata from your Sample page. 

After reading this user guide, you will be able to:

• Download genome sequences (fasta format)
• Download metadata (tab-delimited format)

Downloading data

To download genome sequences and/or metadata from your Sample page:

1. Select the samples you wish to download and click on the "Download" icon found on the upper right-hand corner of the Sample page.
   Example SARS-CoV-2 Sample page. Once you select samples to download, you will be able to click the "Download" icon on the right-hand side of the Sample page.
2. A "Select Download" dialog box will appear. Select the type of data you are interested in downloading, namely "Consensus genomes" and/or "Sample Metadata".
   
   Select the type of data you are interested in downloading from the "Select Download" dialog box. Once the type of data is selected, you will be able to download it by clicking Download.
